Office of The
Vice-Chancellor
We Truly appreciate your interest in Wesley University of Science and
Technology, Ondo, and your love for the development of Ondo Kingdom.
We expect that you will be disposed toward supporting us to ensure that this
University stands out as a reference point, not only in Nigeria, but the world over.

 From The Vice Chancellor's Desk

       I welcome you to Wesley University of Science and Technology, Ondo (WUSTO) a new born baby of the Methodist
family. As you may be aware, the official opening of WUSTO was held on may 14, 2008. We have resumed operations at
the Ife Road Campus with the administration of the University in place.

                                                                                        My Vision
       The  University when viewed in the global context is about excellence in teaching, in research, in the quality of the
experience it offers and in the contribution it makes to the wider world. The broad objectives of a University owned by a
church should include the following:

  •        Provision of facilities for learning, and giving instruction and training in such branches of knowledge as the
    University may desire to foster, and in doing so to enable students obtain the advantage of a liberal education;

  •        Promotion, by research and other means, of the advancement of knowledge and its practical application to
    social, cultural, economic, scientific and technological problems;

  •        Regeneration of morality, not only through teaching and research, but also through informal means, so as to
    ensure stimulations of interest in national development from moral, cultural and religious perspectives.

       Presently, we are organising the Post-UME Screening for students who have passed the Joint Matriculation
Examination. Registration for the exercise is done on-line through our website:
www.wusto.com

       We are working hard towards providing the essential needs to ensure that academic research works are effective. We
must confess here that Ondo has been a wonderful community in hosting the University. The Osemawe, the Osemawe in
Council and many Ondo indigenes have been very supportive. The goodwill we have experienced cannot be quantified.

       Our immediate and major challenge now is provision of hostel blocks for our students. We will need eight blocks for
take-off. Apart from one block of 64 beds which
Prince Adedinsewo, an Indigene is building currently, there is no hope
that the remaining seven will be built and completed before resumption. This is a great challenge that needs urgent
attention.

 Our Challenges and needs, which we believe the Ondo people in Diaspora can identify with and support us include:

  • Equipping the Laboratories (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geology, Food Sciences)

  • Furnishing the Library (Books and Journals in Science and Technology)

  • Computers (Laptops, Desktops) and Accessories

  • Lecture Theatres, Rooms and Laboratories

  • Students Centre

  • Office Furniture

  • Endowment for Academic Programmes, etc.
